Amazing Temple Day

January 17, 2009 was a warm winter day. Carolyn met us at the curb to guide Grandma Honey into the temple where she had our temple clothes in lockers already for the three Grandma Honey’s; Grandma Honey, Granny JoAnne and me, Grammy Sue. All the family warmly greeted Grandma and she was treated like a queen. Richard Lewis acted proxy for his dad Evan, who is Grandma Honey’s youngest brother. It was a joyous day to celebrate endowment and sealing for the Lewis family. After the wonderfully full spiritual session, we went to a scared sealing room. Where Grandma Honey, at age 103, knelt at the holy altar of the temple and was proxy for her mother as the sealing was performed for her brother to his parents. Then Richard continued to stand proxy for Evan to be sealed to his wife. It was a blessed occasion to watch as Richard, Carolyn and Pam knelt with their mother and Brian Lewis acting proxy for their father, as this family was sealed for eternity! Doug Honey and Evan Chynoweth were the witnesses to this ordinance and Neil Reese was an outstanding sealer. Grandma Honey as the second of nine children, has personally been proxy for the temple work and sealing's of every member of her family, parents and siblings. It was an exceptional day at the temple, to glimpse into eternity. Front: Terry, Grandma Honey, Pam & Doug Honey. Middle: Me, JoAnne, Nathalia, & Pam. Back: Richard, Bonnie, Rick, Brian Lewis, Trudy Griffin & Kim Jorgensen, Lesley Sonju her mother Carolyn & Evan. Carolyn had a luncheon for everyone at her home. It was a wonderful time to visit with family.

Strong Ryan

The noble and strong Ryan Honey, Doug & Pam’s son, Grandma Honey’s great grandson was the only one strong enough to help grandma into the car since we all had weak backs. We were so grateful for his help!

The Sister Trip

Shauna and I left from St. George, drove to Spanish Fork, picked up Julie and traveled on to Lindon, to cousin Shirley’s husband, Ted McArthur’s funeral. It was a calm sunny day but it was a cold 26 degrees. We were blessed to be able to see so many family members that I haven’t seen since their mother, Francis's funeral four years ago. I love these people they have been so kind to me. They are my family. Right to left. Oldest to youngest. Sally, who has one arm and use to take in ironing for people, Sheldon Green, Sandra Hetzel, Richard Green, Shirley McArthur and Linnea Newman who lives in Alaska. After the funeral we went to the cemetery, where a friend played the bag pipes as they laid Ted to rest. Then back to the church, for a sweet time visiting with every one and getting reacquainted. We had someone take a picture of the three of us with the majestic mountains as a backdrop. It's a little scray becasue we have become what our Grandma and her sisters use to be, funny, farting old women who have a wonderful time being together. We would laugh at anything and everything because we were too tired and silly to do anything else!

My Liva Lou

I have tended Alyvia since she was two months old. Now, at 14 months she can walk and loves to go in our bedroom and get on the total gym and push it up and down. She is such a cutie. I marvel at her. She is my massager from heaven.

Basketball, Silly Susan, and Sitckers

Derek played a basketball game at the middle school. I took lots of pictures of him BUT when I loaded other pictures on my computer his pictures were deleted, except two and this is one of them. I had a great shot of him in the air as he made a basket but it will be a mental memory now.
01-13-2009 was a busy day. Marley asked me "Are you too busy?" She wanted me to be her show and tell at pre-school because the letter was S. We made stickers with our pictures on them for Marley and Adisyn to pass out to the kids. Then Melanie wrapped me up as a ssurprise. When they guessed what I was I popped out of the wrapping paper and I was Silly Susan SOOOOOO that made four S's, Surprise Silly Susan with stickers!
I wanted to get a picture of our good faithful home teachers. Brother Jeff Jensen and Dayson Ott. They have been a blessing to our family. They always come and bring a spiritual message and pray with and for our family.

Taking Family Pictures

One goal is to improve at taking family pictures. I just realized that I have been doing it for a very long time with the 35 mm film camera Don and JoAnne had given us for Christmas years ago. I like this shot of the Petersen's. We did out in the freezing cold in the back yard.

The Three Babies

I love these three little baabies. It has been a ot of fun taking their pictures and watching them grow. They all have their personal transport, Livi, Ayden and baby Vi. But only Ayden and Violet have their binkies.
